A private car from Vienna to Prague via Brno covers around 330 kilometres in approx. 3.5 to 4 hours. Via Český Krumlov the drive is longer, but you see one of the most beautiful old towns in the Czech Republic. The price is a fixed price per vehicle on request, with pickup in Vienna or at Vienna Airport.
The fastest connection runs via Brno and takes approx. 3.5 to 4 hours. Your chauffeur takes the North Autobahn towards Mikulov, then continues past Brno on the D1 motorway to Prague.
Brno is the second-largest city in the Czech Republic and makes a good halfway break. If you are interested in architecture, you can plan in Villa Tugendhat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; visits there are usually only possible with a ticket booked in advance.
Czech motorways require an electronic vignette. That changes nothing for you, because you pay the agreed fixed price. Please carry a valid passport or national ID card for the journey.
This route is mostly booked by business travellers with meetings in both cities and by families moving on after a few days in Vienna. We also drive to Brno as a destination in its own right; further routes are listed under long-distance transfers from Vienna.
Via Český Krumlov, known in German as Krumau, the transfer becomes a day out. The old town in a bend of the Vltava river, with its castle, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and easy to explore on foot.
Allow around six hours of pure driving time for the whole route, plus two to three hours in Český Krumlov. Leave Vienna in the morning and you reach Prague in the evening. A stop in České Budějovice, home of the original Budweiser beer, is also on the way.
We plan the route with you when you send your request, so that time on site, a lunch break and arrival at your hotel all fit together. Information about your destination is available from the official portal Prague City Tourism.
Fixed price within minutes – no meter, no surprises.
From Vienna Airport we drive you directly to Prague, without a detour through the city centre. Many guests deliberately fly into Vienna because the connection is cheaper or more direct, and then continue by road.
Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall. If your flight is delayed, there are no extra charges, and up to one hour of waiting time is free. How the meeting point works is explained in our guide to the Vienna Airport meeting point.
In the other direction, we bring you from Prague to Vienna-Schwechat in good time for your flight. For groups with lots of luggage we recommend the van with driver, which takes up to 7 passengers and 6 suitcases. Child seats are free of charge, and Wi-Fi and water are on board.
For solo travellers the direct train between Vienna and Prague is a solid choice, and the long-distance bus is usually the cheapest. A private driver from Vienna to Prague is the right fit when other things matter more than the price per person.
We are available around the clock – also for rides within the next hour.

You receive a fixed price per vehicle on request. It depends on the route, vehicle class and stops. The route via Český Krumlov is longer and is therefore calculated differently from the direct drive via Brno. Either way, the quoted price is final.
Via Brno approx. 3.5 to 4 hours for around 330 kilometres. Via Český Krumlov it is around six hours of pure driving time, plus however long you choose to spend in the old town. We plan both versions with realistic buffers.

For one person with little luggage the train is often cheaper. From three people, with plenty of luggage, starting at the airport or with a stop in Český Krumlov, a private car from Vienna to Prague is usually the more comfortable solution.
